Welcome to Holding Space Therapy Services

“Your story is valid. Your story is personal. Your story deserves to be heard. I welcome the opportunity to sit in the depths and build the staircase out to acceptance, freedom and peace.”

What is “Holding Space”?

Holding Space is the practice of providing a safe and supportive environment for someone to express their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment or interruption. It involves being fully present and attentive, allowing the other person to explore their feelings and navigate their own process.

This concept emphasizes empathy, active listening, and non-reactivity, creating a sense of trust and understanding. When someone holds space, they validate the person's feelings and experiences while refraining from trying to fix or solve their problems. Instead, the focus is on allowing the individual to feel heard and supported in their journey.

Holding Space can occur in various contexts, including therapeutic settings, personal relationships, and community support. It fosters connection, healing, and self-discovery, enabling individuals to process emotions and experiences at their own pace.

Holding Space Therapy Services, LLC believes that everyone needs someone to hold that space for them and our goal is to provide the place where one can be themselves and find the path to a better self. What that looks like is different for everyone.

Reaching out for help is the first step. Finding someone that leans in during the trying times is the next. The best part of seeking help is that your journey is yours alone. My job is to help you find what works for you.
